About The gang

We are a community-led organisation committed to tackling the causes and impact of youth crime and exploitation across Bedfordshire.

Guided by our mission “to turn struggles into strengths”, we create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can be heard, supported and feel empowered to make positive choices.

Through early intervention, mentoring and skill-building programmes, we help young people build confidence, resilience and real opportunities for change. Working hand in hand with schools, local authorities and community partners, we strive to prevent harm, inspire hope and create safer futures for the next generation.

founded in May 2024 by Pete Henrickson and Tyrrel Clara, inspired by their personal journeys of leaving crime behind.

Generations apart with shared passion to help young people.

Born in 1961, life as a young man brought its challenges, Pete’s reaction to those challenges was often to lash out.

Pete Henrickson

He was angry with the world and wanted them to know it. This brought about many interactions with law enforcement and culminated in convictions very close to being custodial. Sometime around 1984, Pete finally saw the direction his life was going and made monumental changes to redirect his path. For the past 15 years+ Pete has been actively helping young people via pro-active involvement in charitable organisations such as Teenage Cancer Trust, The Outward-Bound Trust, Centrepoint, Bradfield Youth Club (Peckham), The Blues Foundation and more.

In 2023 Pete was introduced to our other co-founder Tyrrel, from this casual meeting grew a strong bond which fostered the idea of starting their own youth support organisation.

Born in 1998, Tyrrel was often drawn to areas not safe for him and influenced by parasitic lifestyles.

Tyrell Clara

Around 2014 Tyrrel’s life was destined to take him into his first of two periods of incarceration (7 years in total).

Tyrrel knew that this was not him, this was not who he wanted to be. After release (the 2nd time) he spent a period of time abroad, to create distance from his old life and space to create a new one. Returning to the UK to start a family, to start on a new and more rewarding journey. In 2023 he met Pete and by early 2024 Tyrrel put the idea to Pete of EVERYONE’S GANG, The rest is history; A better future for Young People is next.
